What it’s about?
Evan Smoak was trained from the age of 12 to be part of a top top secret Orphans programme to create off-the books assassins. The programme was created by the man who is now the President of the United States. Someone is trying to killed Orphan X and the other Orphans. When someone kills Ethan’s mentor and father-figure, he sets out to get revenge on the President himself. It will take all of Ethan’s skills and resources to assassin the most protected man in the world.
What I think;
If you like action thrillers than this is the book for you. It’s over 00 pages long, but the fast pace means you get pulled into the story and don’t stop reading.
Unlike so other thrillers I’ve read this year, the characters are complex and well developed. The plots are complicated and resolutions action-packed. The anti-hero is sympathetic and struggles with the morality of his actions. This is the fourth in the Orphan series but is a stand alone novel. I have not read the previous books, but I will be definitely be adding them to tbr pile as this was a cracking read.
