What: Gruffalo 20th birthday celebrations

Earlier this month we got to meet a legend!

To celebrate the Gruffalo’s 20th birthday, he popped into to Chorleywood library for storytime.

There was a lot of very excited children and lots of excited grown ups too. The gruffalo is big! And some of the small people did find him as scary as mouse says he is so there were a few tears when he stomped into the library.

There was storytime, craft activities and fabulous goodie bags that included gorgeous Gruffalo cookies made by the local play cafe.

There was a trail of Gruffalo footprints that led through he town from the library up to the local bookshop where we spent our goodie bag £1 off voucher.

This was a lovely free event hosted by Chorleywood Bookshop and we both really enjoyed it. The Little Monster is still taking about meeting the Gruffalo three weeks later.
