Blog Tour – Christmas at the Little Waffle Shack

Christmas at the Little Waffle Shack

By Helen J. Rolfe

What it’s about?

Heritage Cove is in full swing for the festive season and as the temperature dips, who will be lucky in love this Christmas?

It’s December in Heritage Cove and along with the village Christmas tree, frosty mornings and the promise of the most wonderful time of the year, the new waffle shack is about to open. And its owner isn’t a stranger to the Cove, because after all this time, Daniel is back to make amends with his brother Harvey – as well as a few other locals he might have offended along the way.

Fairly new to the village, local blacksmith Lucy has kept up the pretence of being with her ex for the sake of his gran but she’s fed up with all the lies. Determined to come clean and live the life she wants to live, she’s devastated to find that her attraction to Daniel is tainted by the fact he’s hiding a few things of his own. And his secrets are ones she isn’t sure she’ll ever be able to get past.

Heritage Cove is full of friendship and community; it’s a welcoming place people visit and never want to leave. But will it work its magic for Daniel and Lucy?

A festive read packed with Christmas romance, love and second chances, this is Book 2 in a series of standalone novels set in Heritage Cove, the little village by the sea…

What I think:

I want to live in Heritage Cove!

I think I said exactly the same after reading the first book in the series earlier in the year!

A lovely village by the Sea where people look out for each other and there is a real sense of community.

Lucy and Daniel are both starting over in Heritage Cove.

Lucy is newly divorced and has taken over the local blacksmith. Crafting and creating bespoke gifts she has never been happier. But her ex-husband is still lurking around trying to win her back.

Daniel is coming back after years away. Having been an tear-away teen, he has faced most of his demons and come home to start a new Waffle Shack and realise his dreams. But there are a few demons left to face.

The attraction between Lucy and Daniel is clear from the moment they meet. But they have to clear up the inevitable misunderstandings first.

This is predictable but lovely. A really sweet, feel-good Christmas romance that will make you crave warm waffles. Lucy and Daniel are perfect for each other but just need to be brave and honest with each other.

It’s lovely to catch up with some of the characters from the first book and see their relationships continuing to thrive.

This is a village that has lots of stories to tell and I’ll definitely be visiting again in the future.

If you like cosy cafe village romances you will love this. Pop on your pyjamas, make some hot chocolate and snuggle up with Christmas at the Little Waffle Shack.
