Murder Ahoy!
By Fiona Feitch

What it’s about?
Famous crime writer Bella Tyson is hired to co-host a Murder Mystery cruise, on a luxury liner sailing
from Southampton to New York.
She’s expecting an easy ride; fun and games, surrounded by amateur sleuths and fans of her books, all the while staying in a deluxe cabin and enjoying the spa and the amazing restaurants on board, culminating in a visit to one of her favourite cities in the world – the Big Apple.
She’s NOT expecting to be stuck on a boat in the middle of the Atlantic with her two least favourite people in the world, her hot but unfaithful bastard ex-husband Joel Quigley and fellow crime writer, bitch goddess and Twitter frenemy, Louise Meyers. And when real live dead bodies start turning up –
as well as fake not-really-dead bodies – Bella’s dreams of being pampered on the high seas turn sour.
Accused of a murder she would have liked to commit but didn’t, and helped (or hindered) by a gang of unlikely detectives, can Bella find out who the real murderer is before the ship reaches its destination and New York’s finest drag her off?

What I think:
This is a great, pacy mystery with lots of laughs.
Bella Tyson is a feisty, witty lady. She has a great sense of humour and an engaging way with words. There were lots of laugh out loud moments.
Her relationship with new husband, Will is great – lots of humour and they are a real team. When Bella ends up a the prime suspect, he stands by her 100% and uses his investigative skills to help work out what has been going on.
The cruise ship setting is perfect for a murder mystery. There’s an array of guests who all appear to be strangers and a team of hidden actors who are part of the cruise staff. First job is to work out who is who.
Bella’s rival writer, Louise Meyer is hideously brilliant creation – loud, arrogant and spiteful. Joel Quigley, also a successful writer and Bella’s cheating ex is good-looking and charming but equally unlikeable.
The main characters are brilliant and I can’t wait to see how they develop in the future. And the supporting characters are fun and quirky.
This is a great mystery and I woll definitely be reading more in this series in the future as I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great start to my August TBR pile.

After living in London and Cornwall
