Quick trip to the library this afternoon to pick up a couple of books for the festive season.

With a couple of weeks off, including the whole first week of January, I’m looking forward to some downtime and snuggling up with a few good books.

Today I picked out two books that are going to finish off one challenge and start off another.

Queen Charlotte by Julia Quinn and Shondra Rhimes

One of the categories on the 2023 Popsugar Reading Challenge that I have really struggled with is a book based on a film.

I have not found a novelisation of a film that I actually want to spend time reading. I’ve tried! So after a while searching and starting a couple of things that got DNFed, I decided to fidge the prompt slightly and go for a book based on a television series.

Bright by Jessica Jung

My second choice is going to kick off my reading for 2024. Bright by Jessica Jung is based around a female K-pop group which will tick off prompt 4 of the new challenge.
